Came up on this site looking for pictures of the movie to celebrate its 25th anniversary release. I remember seeing the preview for this film in theaters and from the trailer alone I knew it would be a smash but I was under age at the time just 10. However my parents bought it on ADVD the snap cases I was excited first of all we had a dvd secondly I wanted to see beautiful Halle Berry, lovely Lela and the foxy Vivica Fox. It didn’t disappoint from the opening scene of narrative from all 3 ladies seem like Frankie was 3 different ppl. Jump right in to the office scene which was high octane like something out of a broadway show but it worked. This film is a biopic but it use his widows as the anchor and the fight over huis massive estate. Right away it becomes clear why this film didn’t blow up like it should or rather promoted like a Oscar contender too much information was exposed. First he was a kid smaller than depicted by Larenze in his best role and Morris Levy whoI had never heard of turned his group member’s against him and provided him with alcohol weed and heroin which was his ultimate downfall. Not only that he forged his name on the record the group released over 2 decade earning over 4 million dollars 30 million in today’s money. The teenagers tried to sue him after this case was over but it was thrown out by the judge for statute of limitations the judge was a friend of his. Overall I recommend this biopic I think it’s right behind Ray as the best musical biopics release by the way the music on the big screen is mind blowing good A+
